It can be very productive in Aug/Sept. But to be honest, I'd rather fish the opposite beat (Kingcausie) as they have better holding water and are a bit cheaper than Blairs, plus there's the added bonus of fishing with me Seriously though, anywhere on the lower Dee in the back-end is a fairly good bet - you'll certainly see plenty of fish. After a lengthy discussion with my two fishing pals, we came to the conclusion that the third week of September is the best September week on Kingcausie/Blairs.

Given water in Aug/Sept the lower Dee will excel.
Kincausie is the beat above and opposite the top half of Blairs and offers good value. However join the queue at Kincausie as it gets very busy and I don't believe they have a limit to the amount of rods fished. (sloggi will be able to confirm the limit)

(sloggi will be able to confirm the limit) SAY is quite right, rod limits has been a problem in recent seasons. Some of us have complained that September appears to be akin to combat fishing. However, the change to 100% C&R this season will, I hope, reduce the clamber. The other option is to fish the lower half of Kingcausie (which is opposite Blairs) which is considerably quieter.
