The Thurso seems to be struggling - only 15 fish reported on FishScotland for the whole season to-date.
No spates since mid March, but it that the only reason for the poor catches?

Fished week of April 8th with only a kelt in the first ten minutes. Low water seemed to be the predominant factor, although the locals are wondering why a few more have not run in any case. Less fishers this year also.
Thurso is an enchanting river with great variety - a real challenge. Am booked in again end of July for grilse.
