I think the most of it is syndicated water, but I have on occasion got hold of day permits from Loch Awe stores - several years ago mind you - for the upper beats (Auch beat springs to mind).
I know a good contact up there and will check with him to post a fuller answer in the next day or two.
Cheers,
Altmor.

Im not sure but up untill last year a certain number of season tickets were available for the Upper Craig beat. The owners can be contacted at Philip Langs Cycles, 163 The Gallowgate, Glasgow G1. Tel. 0141 552 5103. Fished this beat for quite a few years on a day ticket and found it to be, quite productive but banks can be quite challenging, has about 1.5 miles of fishings with more than 12 named pools, the best of these IMO are the Little Colonels, Woodpecker and Dewars. Hope this helps

superb. Not bothered about the coloured fish just in it for the sport. would you recommend bunch or single worm? I've been successful with both methods on different rivers but any info for the orchy would be great. I'll give the guy aphone 2moz and try and hopefully get it booked for tuesday thanks again

I normally fished the bunch with a bouncing betty, it can be very snaggy with all the ledges and rocks. Orchy fish are fit and put up a good scrap. they have to be fit to transcend the numerous falls. The best pools are the little colonels at the bottom of the beat. cast towards the big rock in the middle, fish will take in the small v at the tail or tight in at the bank. The Woodpecker holds fish in all hights of water, this pool is about halfway down the beat. if you park at the top of the beat (boatpool and dewars) and look downstream, woodpecker is just before the wood in the distance. Let us know how you get on. Tight lines
