Closeburn Castle River Nith
Any advice as were fishing this beat early next week, thanks in advance.

Have fished opposite bank(Bajarg) that beat is a nice fly water. The river is not wide here or particularly deep, and a shorter(12'-13') double hander should be ample ( bring a 15' in case the water is big). As we speak the River is lowish, however I think we will have some rain in time for the w/end. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the advice, at the finish A mate of mine went instead, work got in the way, he caught 4 salmon & a seatrout returned while the gillie caught a 16lb hen fish, returned,
Most on GP & allys they caught the river just right.
