Im heading up to the Orchy on Monday to fish the Dalmaly beat.
I was just wandering if anyone had fished it lately and how it is fishing.

I hear the Orchy is doing very nicely - a reputable source who fishes / pat time bailiffs the river has had good success lately, although it does need a bit of rain to keep levels up.
Hopefully for you there will be a spot or two of the wet stuff for your visit - keep us posted.
Altmor.

An update from the Orchy.
It must have been the warmest and brightest day in October since records began with the river running low.
I found a pool with plenty of fish rising (some absolute corkers amongst them) but none of them interested in a fly and no spinning or worming allowed.
I tried every method known to man and after waiting a few hours for the sun to disappear behind a hill and thrashing the pool again (with fresh fish moving in) i gave up fishless.
All in all a very frustrating day

No luck Crawuk, seems to be the problem all over just now - where's the usual rain for this time of year ?
