I've built on the standard Harrison 2 Handed blanks before, and they are powerful, a joy to use, but a little on the soft side.
I am now looking for something a little faster and was wondering if any forum members have tried rods built on the new Harrisons LORHIC blanks? Apparently, they are quite tippy but will bend through when asked, and they are made from the same grade carbon as Loomis GLX rods.
Also, does anybody have a favoured blank for building two handed custom rods?

Thanks Graham,
I've had a browse at their website before. Do you know if Bob Meiser's blanks are built to his own tapers or are they the same as the standard CD tapers?
They don't have any prices on their website so I assumed that they do not sell retail. I'll probably email them for any further info.

I emailed CTS earlier on today to see if there is a dealer in the UK, or if they would be willing to sell direct. It all depends on what price they come back with. I'm aiming at somewhere around the £200 mark, as this is about the price of B&W Norway and Harrison Lorhic blanks. Graham, How do you think the CTS blanks compare to a Norway Speycaster? I'll be looking for a 15 or 16ft 10/11 model.

Graham,
How far are they on the light side?
If I wanted to use them for 55ft to 75ft heads, should I be looking for a 9/10 blank to deliver a 10/11 line?

Now that CTS blanks are sorted, has anybody tried the Harrison LORHIC blanks?
