Anyone used or tried these Speylines from Redditch? I see a few on ebay at cheap prices but have no clue as to what they are like.
Are they similar in profile to any other lines out there?

I am pretty sure that these are lines made by 22M, who make lines for other companies. I was put onto them by Willie Gunn and others. I have 4 (floating through to Hi-D). I am only a beginner but they seem great to me. Nice and slick, no memory and I find them well matched to my Norway. Head length is about 65` or so. For the money, they are hard to beat.

Thanks ar. Can you tell me if the front taper is long or fairly short. i.e. will they turn over tips in a wind?

Ok, I'll give them a miss. Don't really need a 8.5wt line. To be honest I don't really need any 10/11 wt lines, but I'm addicted to buying lines. (-: My last buy was the Hardy Mach plus floater/sinktip. Didn't like it at all and have since cut the tip off and will add my own tips. I haven't tried it since butchering it so I'm worried that it's totally knackered. I'm on the Dee next week, so will give it a throw.
Sorry to go off the thread a bit here, but I got a loan of the Bill Drury Guideline spey with 74ft head and took it to Norway with me. what a great line this was. Really impressed. will definately buy one for next year. Also had the sink1/sink2 with 60ft head and this also was good.
Springer, the old Loop speylines (unfortunately not made anymore) were the best lines I've tried for tips....5ft, 10ft, Sfast sink..... turns overs them all without cutting taper. They have anounced new lines, called D-loop, but they've never hit the shops. Been on their website for months now, but no availability. I've emailed them, but no response.

That's interesting Graham. Didn't know Airflo made the loop lines. I know where to pick one up cheap so I'll have it. Do the Delta and long delta have the same line profile and just different head lengths?
cheers.

Hello Graham, interested in your comments re. delta spey line, are you talking about polyfuse xt delta spey with the 50-57ft. head, or is there an other delta spey line. Thanks for any help with this query. Pip.
