If you've had two seasons out of them, you've done well.

if the boots dont have studded soles, you can add them yourself for a bit more durability. i have a piari of scierras and while the laces lasted less than a season the soles are holding up.
by the way, a tip if anyone has had problems with laces disintegrating, try using the starter cord from a petrol-lawnmower or similar. A stiff to start with but will last forever.

Nolon, I have used Korkers "Outfitters" for a season now and could not fault them for materials and comfort. No more crushed feet between rocks. I am quite happy to wear them all day and walk miles in them. They are my first pair of wading boots and breathables so I cannot compare them to anything else but just looking at the quality I expect them to last for many years. There are two versions of Korkers, the 'Outfitter' and the 'Wetlands'. The Wetlands are cheaper so I expect they are lighter construction but with the same soles. Maybe someone on the forum could confirm this. I have seen some very good deals for Wetlands on the internet so have a search around. Steve.

i have used the wetlands for two years now - not heavily but at least once a week - they have a few light signs of wear but are definitely the most comfortable boots i have ever worn - korkers reckon they are for light use, and heavy users should buy the outfitters, but i have been very pleased with mine and would definitely buy them again. there are often great deals on ebay.com - highly recommended ;Dcompared to others i have used - my snowbees lasted two days before they split!!

Steve & Jan, thanks for the info, Im off to the shops. Ross, how long were you carrying a mower starter cord around for before you found out it could also be used as laces... Or did the discoverer have a difficult choice one day when he found his laces snapped of either, never being able to use the lawnmower again, or going fishing. Must have been a fairly easy choice. Thanks again, Nolon. ;D

Nolon I heard on the grapevine that you wore out your wading boots on your honeymoon last year.

I was going to follow the advice of the mower laces but heard that the noise can scare the fish away

Fordham & Wakefield supply Korkers in the UK, I think. Check out this link just put up on the other forum. Very good price: www.sierratradingpost.com/p/4302,75963_.html Shipping looks like $30 so boots delivered for just over £50, assuming HMCE don't get their piece of flesh.
