I've been wondering...................... why do seal damaged fish seem such ready takers??... could it be that there are just loads of them about?? what percentage of your catch is made up of these fish? ? last year my rate was 1 in 29!! cheers, Blair

I caught 1 seal damaged fish last year out of 14 fish but it looked like and old wound as it had healed. The ghillie told me that a wounded fish is more agitated because of the wound and therefor snaps at more things. sounds ok to me but salmon fishing is mainly guess work with many theories that are difficult to prove.

Richard the Deveron is not renowned for its spring run. Get yourself down to the Brae water, it is still fishing well.

Yes, twice that size, a cracking springer. Did it earn you another of those smart little enamel badges to wear in your hat, Malcolm?

Charlie, you can only get 1 Delfur badge, so no matter how many twenty pounders I catch I will still only have 1 badge. A Tulchan tie is the next must have.
