Hi to all
Newcomer to salmon fishing here.Taking advice from some stalwart forum members,bought myself new tackle round about July this year,B&W Norway 15' 9/10,System 2 reel & Ian Gordon 65' line.Had a couple of lessons and got a season ticket on the Teith at Callander.Spent the remainder of the season thrashing the river but found myself steadily improving but,alas,to no avail.Thoroughly enjoyed myself though,especially when a good sized fish leapt out the water right under my rod tip.So looking forward to next season and my first salmon(of many I hope).
Anyway,to my subject! I work freelance and have to take work when it comes.I therfore can't book fishing in advance.I do find myself off at different times though,and will travel for a day here,a couple of days there.Checking web sites for any available fishing I was wondering,do beats prefer all available places taken,say, for example,due to a cancellation and how do other rods feel about this?
