Has anyone tried one of these, If so how do they compare with the Oracle series?

I have just bought the 14' 9/10. Can't compare to other rods as it's the only doublehander I've cast. As SS says, it's light and well balanced, doesn't feel tip heavy. Reel seat is a bit small, a Magnum 200D wouldn't fit but a Koma did.
Bennets of Sheffield have an offer on them at the moment, I got my local shop to price match and got it for £45.
For the price they are very good value.

potbelly, what would be the maximum length of reel foot that the rod would take.

61/62mm maximum, just tried a Greys GRX 7/8 with a reel seat of 63 mm and I had to force it past the ring.

I will be using mine with S/peare Speedex reels and these fit OK.
Just probed it with a needle and discovered that, as the upper end of the reel fitting extends under the cork, it would be possible to cut 1/8" of cork off the lower end of the top handle. This would allow the locknuts a little more travel but check yours before you cut, should you decide to.
Dave.
