This was in the general thread but I've moved it as the original thread had been hijacked. Like others I noted the Loop Adventure in T and S. Have been thinking of getting a back-up rod for my 15' Sirrus. Was thinking about getting a Guideline, but realised my budget wouldn't stretch to it right at the moment. The Adventure looks like very good value at £95.
Does anyone else have experience of the rod? I read on the Speypages American forum that they had a tendency to break, but that could have been an older model.
Does anyone know what lengths of line it casts best with?
Can it handle occasional sunk line work ?(up to about 1 1/2" copper tubes)
Is is significantly better than a Shakepeare Oracle? (which had been my original choice for a cheap back-up rod)
Would appreciate any thoughts.
Cheers
Leo
