Ive been through a scierra aquatex and RT in the last year or so and have been around the local shops trying to figure out which jacket to buy.The rain in the last few weeks has put all wading jackets to the test and it looks like the Simms g3 is the best around but at 500 euros its a bit more than a tad expensive .Does anyone have a recommend for a good jacket or a link to a better price on the G3 , Corky

I can highly recommend Sasta jackets, both my father and I have used these jackets for around three seasons without any problems. They are light, comfortable, the hood is attached and most important, waterproof.

So not only will you be warm dry and fair of purse, but you will have the added bonus of being dressed like a true swordsman (hello ladies) and master of the black art of swishy swashy casting...oohh err - I might buy one the day the Patagonia SST finally goes to the great fishing jacket place in the sky - regardez - CLaG p.s. we hope to have a few long range lens shots of The Don executing the Sidewinder (Trade Mark The Don) at Stobhall on site by the end of the weekend

I am not sure about a website for Sasta, I bought mine from Somers fishing tackle in Aberdeen, website www.somersfishing75@freeserve.co.ukThe owner is a good lad to deal with and generally gives you a very competitive price. I have just spoken to the owner and he was saying that he actually has one of the models on a special deal, down from £130 to £100.

not sure which one it is, but it has 64n on the front flap, it is made from gortex, it is a good jacket and comfy to wear, my local tackle dealer got some cheaper ones in a while back but i know nothing about the to be honest scotty.
