The Diawa 11'3" 7/9, which has a 4" fixed extension can be fished either single or double handed and is perfectly capable of handling grilse.

I use a Daiwa Osprey Amourphous Whisker 11' 6/8 with a DT 6 or 7 depending where I fish.
Its the old screw in 2" or 4" extension option and the action is great for roll and overhead casting. Pity its a 2 piece but you can't win them all!!

chasb, are all the reels not foreign/ like the Strubel reel fittings, are there any British reel makers Left.
