Hi all I have just bought a shakespeare odyssey 12ft double hander rated 8/9 .What line do you recommend for this rod ,bearing in mind that i will be mainly be using it for sea trout fishing , disturbance is an issue .
I like the idea of a multi tip ,but will such a heavy head make to much disturbance for sea trout . Thanks David .

I would go for a shaky double taper if presentation is your main concern. You can pick up worcestershire lines for around 15 quid.

There's no problem about presentation with the Snowbee 1D #8/9 if you use the trout polyleaders from Worcestershire.

I would probably opt for a Snowbee 1D 51' head and a few Airflow poly's in 5' and 10'. IMO you dont want 60' + heads on a 12'er or when adding tips they will end up to long for the rod. I would agree with springer that the 1D would be a good choice. A cheeky we alternative would be a Loop adapted shooting head. You can pick these up in the 8/9 size from Tacklebargains for around a tenner and they also have airflo and Loop running line at heavily discounted prices cheers Splash
