This topic may have been covered but can anyone recommend suitable head length/weights for a lpxe 15fter? suitable for medium sized rivers, also any hints or tips on how i should adjust my casting techniques to suit. Many thanks Ian

Many thanks Ian Springer is your man here as this rod is his weapon of choice. In general the Loop Adapted or Guideline Power tapers are ideal. I've been using the standard 10/11 rated heads on my 15ft Loop Greyline to good effect. The Loop heads are quite short at around 12.5m. For a 15ft rod I'd not cutback the Guidelines from 13.5m to start with particularly with the floaters and intermediate heads. The sinkers I do tend to cut back to get the right loading on the rod. With the longer heads you can adopt a more a relaxed style with a longer stroke but with the shorter heads a faster more snappy stroke is definitely better cheers Splash
