yes it will be fineon your rod the outbacker i tried was an nine weight a lot of the salt water boys are now turning to them as well as compitition boys as well billy p

Thanks for your help, What weight is the Rio Outabck? I am not sure if it makes any difference in this case but maybe I should have stated that the rod is a Sage Z 14'3 9#. Do you think that the Rio Outback will suit this rod action in the same way as it does for the euro? Having just had a brief cast with the 14ft 3 Z axis, it felt like a very capable rod and was nicer than its 15ft stablemate IMHO. The Snowbee 2D 9/10 works well with the 14ft 1 European and should be a good match with the Z- Axis. Re shooting heads, I used Loop adapted in floating, intermediate and Type II sinking when I had a 14ft European cut at 12m with good effect cheers Splash
