I've never had a 15'00" before, every salmon rod i had was 14'00" until last year when i was offered a Slate spx 10/11 4piece, and i'm glad i bought it, compared to the Daiwa's its a lot lighter and easier on the back. It was as far as i know made in norway and has the Guideline look, probably is one from the same stable, but with a different name and for £135 i'm not complaining, the RRP is £400, but my mate got it for £150 from the GAC, a real bargain.

Well my B&W expert 15 ' went to the mad chef and I replaced it with the Norway 16' #9/10. It feels like a 14' of the previous generation . so the new 15 is 16

This will probably get a bit of stick ;D but the Hardy Sirrus 15' #10 is a great all rounder. The 13' is wooden but the 15' is very different. I know the blanks are rolled in the far east but it does everything you ask of it. Plenty of power, light, and spey and snake rolls are no bother. Dredges up a type 5 sinker without a problem.
I would never pay full price for Hardy rods anyway, so price ain't an issue.

Good choice, acw, you'll love it.
I have 2 of the 15' Norway sticks - the 4 pce & the more recently acquired 3 pce.
Both lovely rods.
My only 16'er is a positively antique Daiwa CF98 - purchased in Glasgow in the late 1980's (well before WROC opened its shutters!) when I used to fish the local R Leven, but it's had few outings since I discovered the 15' Norway.

The Bloke Speymaster and Bloke XL 50 are both magnificent rods and serious value for money. Have the XL 50 and another friend has the Speymaster. I have the B&W Norway also, excellent. The new Vision GT four is a great rod.
Best rod of all though for Spey casting is the Carron rod, as are their lines. Tried them at the Game Fairs extensively. Still saving on Ghillies wages for one of their rods. A friend has a Carron sixteen footer and I get a throw with it reasonably regularly.

I got a couple of these Bloke (XL50's ) rods at good prices last year...Look nice, but not to my style (and I use that term advisedly!!) of casting.
Anyone want to take them off my hands, I'm open to offers.
PM me (or whatever) if you're interested.

Hardy Sovereign 15ft 6ins coupled to a Lee Wullf 10/11 80ft head floater(and intermediate)and any density sinker you care to nominate, pure class. Also throw in a B+W Powerlite Spey 16ft 9/10 80 ft 10/11 Accelerators in float and intermediate and Diawa sinkers,a touch more refinement than a Norway and a touch easier to fish with to boot.Just thought I'd heave a couple of curved balls in there.Pedro.
