I Wonder if anyone can help me out with some information on a Greys 14’ GRX? I have been offered one of these rods for 100 pounds, this is the original model, not the GRXI. Could anyone tell me what sort of action this rod has (I don’t have the try before you buy option unfortunately) and whether this is a good price for this rod second hand in good condition? I currently use the Ian Gordon rods, which I find suit me very well and these are described as medium fast.
Thanks

hi their , it has an excellant action , i have used one know for two seasons and every body i talk to , up in the higher end of the fishing world realy say it is a dam good rod. it has a i would say , and im not an expert but it has a middle to tip action , it is quite forgiving but it does have some umph!! JOck who sells the monteith line ratted a 10 11 for the rod and it handles it fine , he did this as i am on the market for a new 15" 10 11 . Obviously the greys is a 9 10. I actually love this rod it's a great rod for mid sized rivers and copes with the big rivers o.k. for a first rod you can't go wrong mate. hope this helps regards speers.
bye the way it chucks a 55ft head hardy mach floater a hell of a way.!!

I borrowed one of these on a trip to the dee. It had plenty of power and seemed to be well made.
One of my pals in Norway loves this rods for his shooting heads.

I've had one for a while now and its a nice rod. I use a 9/10 Snowbee 2D floater on it and its perfect.
I've also got the greys Greyflex M2 15ft 10/11 and thats a fantastic rod.
