It was an interesting trip. Raf caught the fish over 2 days - we all blanked on the last day. I managed the worlds smallest kelt on the first day - which may or may not be a sea trout kelt. However, this was my first salmon trip and I really enjoyed the fishing. The Dee is a beautiful river.
Cheers

I can confirm that although I've caught bigger dace it was infact a salmon kelt Jon. I caught another kelt of maybe 6/7 lbs and was likewise pleased just to have caught a salmon of any condition on my first 'proper' salmon trip. Jon also had what looked like a good springer on for a good minute or so before the beggar slipped off which was a real shame as he'd been working hard with the spey casting and was finally getting the line out when the fish took. Would have been a fitting reward for perseverance. Cheers Bri
