Zeolite,
That is a cracking fish. I take it that is the 21lb fish that was caught yesterday? What pool was it caught in?

I wish people would get better photo's of fish, doesn't take much effort and is worth it...
i.e have it square to camera, don't cover it with your arm, remove grass from it and have the fish wet to make it shine a bit.
Sorry to sound like a misery ;D

Hello big Jim,still stampin oot fires ? tyneandrew, yep, you sounded like a misery, but, as the man said " I'M not going down that ffffn bank to wash a fish, so the pic was taken. Then overtaken with a 25lb fish today ! Such is glory,fickle.. tyneandrew,if you think that pic is bad you should have seen the one I took, and printed, looked like the poor fella was in That place in Calcutta ! Report card reads.............Must try harder lol. Ian, you forgot to ask. Gary, end of the cottage stream, between the first two trees........... on a piece of cutlery, namely a blue and silver 28g Toby type.

Dennis,
I've been at the vice again. I've tied up some really big collie dogs/sunray shadows; if the cutlery is working then I reckon these big hairy things will work too!!!
Looks like there's a definite run of bigger fish coming into the Tay now. Can't wait!!
See you Saturday.

Some more pics from Kercock. Lunchtime in the hut The man himself giving Mrs Z some tips. Many thanks Dennis. You helped my casting and showed my how to use my cutlery better. You fixed my rod and lent me another while it was drying and you got Mrs Z to double spey. I can give Kercock my 100% recommendation. Nice to meet you Owen

Dennis, I'm sure that Nolan will get his fish, and I give him 10 out of 10 for persevering with the fly when there are a few fish coming off to the cutlery. I've known some people to go ten years without a salmon. They must be made of sterner stuff than me!!! My first season, when I came back to salmon fishing, I went right through until October without a fish and then caught a 9lb bar of silver at the upper reaches of the Endrick. I slipped it back, only for a bailiff to tell me that as it was my first fish I could have chapped it I've been following the success's of the collie dog and sunray shadows in the rivers of the north east. So this Saturday I think I'll try the standard approach in the morning and switch to a fast sinker and strip a big sunray shadow in the afternoon. If nothing else, I'll feel that I've tried a bit harder ;D
