mike arnt most of the fresh run back end fish like that one on your river, all the ones i caught were a little darker fresh off the tide, and before the preachers jump in , i released all my fish, ( my choice)

I've seen worse AK, but i'm no expert seatrout are my thing thank feck, i couldn't be arsed with all this KAK! as long as he had a good days fishing . And i also return all my fish before anyone says anything.

That happened to me a few weeks ago. I caught a real firm slightly coloured cock fish that unfortunately was a bleeder. A real solid fish that would have normally gone back but there was no way i was releasing it to suffer and die.
It's only the second salmon i have chapped in two years of fishing for them. Both were bleeders.

Reminds me of the dreadful cover of that Crawford Little book with the Nith "turners" caught tinslinging by the Marx Brothers. I saw the cover of that book on Amazon recently - I recognised the two guys as lads I used to fish with occasionally in N Wales. Both moved away I haven't seen them for 20 years. Yes, they did look like the Marx Bros with their tashes. ;D btw, they were both very good flyfishers.
