fink it ladies pool? behind taymouth castle Scottieboy - I think that's the Chinese Pool, looking upstream from near the Chinese Bridge? The Ladies pool is upstream above the wee island and a brute of a wade from the right hand bank (but well worth it). Few years ago I saw the best hatch of dark olives I have ever seen in the Chinese pool and had about a dozen trout out of it, inluding my biggest river trout - 3 1/2lb. The story goes that the Chinese bridge is so named because on of the Lairds of the castle kept a chinese mistress in the wee stone houff by the road on the other side of the river. He used to sneak across the bridge at night for a take-away Nice pics btw CD

scottyboy if you like fishing the tay you should try upper farlayer, its about 3 miles upstream of aberfeldy, chance of a fish from mabye april onwards, good for the grilse also, its only like £20-£30 up until october i think then its about £50, its worth a go, permits from the aileen craggan hotel in aberfeldy. think its booked for the rest of the season though scotty.

Scotty nice photos, when the Tummel below the dam is at the height in the 2nd picture the other bank(Cluniemore) fishes far better than the club side which fishes best in higher water.
