On the Welsh Dee.......the river is currently full of fish, but we do need some water to freshen things up.

Nice fish Snap C. Do you think that the removal of the Irish drift nets or the good water conditions for most of the summer or a combination of the 2 has had an affect on the numbers of fish in the rivers? My local river the Ribble look like it will have had the best runs for quite a few years if the trends keep up. It cant just be a coincidence can it?

I honestly don't know............I'm sure both will have an affect, but I've given up second guessing Salmon Last year for instance - a fish on 3 consecutive Saturdays in September in low water and bright sunshine. The long awaited flood arrived........1 fish in 3 weeks!!! Snap C
