Can anyone jog my memory on how to set up the spinning rig.
I used to Spin for Salmon over 40 years ago and still have lots of devon minows and some tobies that I used at that time so I'm hoping that they will still come in handy!
So what size swivel's do I need and will the mounts that I made all them years ago still work now (They arn't rusty and look in good nick) all I need is a general idea how to set up.
At the moment I'm fly-fishing for Salmon and later on I can also spin so any help would be appreciated.

I make up a bit of kit which I find a great advantage in spinning, It is very simple.9" approx of 30 lb line and three swivels, tie one swivel at one end, slip a swivel on the line then tie your third swivel on the other end. Tie one end on your mainline, your leader on the other and whatever lure you wish to the leader.. you can then use Tobys, flying Cs,the two online swivels cut out the line twist, a floating devon is no problem, spiral lead winds on the heavy line and the running swivel takes the light dropper line for a weight. No farting around, and it works.

Dennis,
I don't understand the need for the running swivel? Why not tie the light dropper line to one ring of either swivel as when in use surely it will spend most of its time hard against the swivel nearest your bait. Or am I missing something with this method?
Cheers, springer
