I have heard 56g Toby's are used on the Tay. Does anyone know where you can buy them in the UK or do they just weld two 28g Toby's together?

Thanks. My initial thought was to question the viability of such, since it has been used for years it must be successful.

Since I only purchase Trout & Salmon magazine when I have heard there is an article of worth, such as a relevant rod review or good article on salmon fishing, it is unlikely I would have come across such a "Tip".

was in PD Mallochs in Perth on Sat and apparently some of the 28g (and smaller) range have now been discontinued (i.e. silver/copper) but there is now a new range of 60g as mentioned above. Doesn't seem to have hit all the web-sites and catalogues yet..

Does anyone know where to get 28grm tobies in copper and zebra for less than £3.90 each Check out McHardys, they do the British equivalent of Toby type lures made by Weaver, these are great lures and the 28 grm costs £2.38 www.mchardys.co.uk/acatalog/cat.htm#Its in the Spinner Baits section, hope this helps Clydebuilt
