Visit the butcher at Danby he will probably be able to fix you up with a ticket. Free stretches, well you have got a bit at Glaisdale at Beggars Bridge, then Lealholm have a there stretch too. Are the free stretches any good? they are if you catch a fish and then then they ain't if you don't. How do you class a river as any good?

You can get a season ticket for Danby I think its less than 20 quid and that gives you fishing from Castleton down to Fryup beck end just above Lealholm, can be quite good after a flood especially during September - October also some good brownies up there aswell.

Somat orange if its mucky, Somat black if its low, or copper or silver mepps
