A spring salmon estimated at 18/19lb was taken on the 23 march in the Ribchester area the fish was "a bar of silver with a purple hue" was released with no harm done.

Thats wet my appertite im on Ribble next week, carnt wait good to hear theres some spring salmon in the river.

I was out fishing at Balderstone on friday and lost a fish after 10 to 15 seconds but I am 95% sure it was a kelt. I wasn't really concentrating on the fishing as i was trying out a new carron line and tuning some shooting heads to my rod. Hoping to catch a ribble springer this season as so far they have eluded me.
