I've been a trout fly fisherman for many years and I usually use a braided loop or a needle knot to join cast to fly-line. Because this is my first time Salmon fly-fishing I want to make sure that it doesn't come unstuck if by some miracle I hook a Salmon this year JAD

Im not 100% but i think a braided lop on the end of the fly-line... with a dab of glue!..... and a loop on the end of the leader..... then a simple loop to loop connection! I think that was my teacher taught me on Saturday?? Maybe i wasn't listening properly!! (D Minus perhaps Kercock??)

Hi John. Thats the way I tie my casts on for trout fishing and I have had rainbows up to 14lb. I would hate to fish all season and hook my one and only Salmon and lose it because the braided loop came unstuck Tight lines John
