I and I am sure many others welcomed your initiative in starting this Forum and not only read it, but also try to post whenever relevant. However, it does seem to be having a slightly slow start, though possibly this is normal in such a situation.
So far as I am concerned, it does not detract from my interest in other fishing Forums, but is a useful addition to them when I wish to read or discuss items specifically related only to salmon fishing. Like many other Forum members I fish for both salmon , sea trout and trout, so I would certainly not abandon any other Forum.
What do other members think?

I think it is good to have a forum dedicated to salmon fishing. For one it saves having to trawl through posts to see if any are of interest. I thought you were just a stokie basher. |

Back OT: I like this forum because it is about salmon fishing of any form. So there should be no sanctimonious comments about spinning or worming. |

Totally agree with Graham R. This site is needed. I try to log-in as often as I can and contribute where possible, but it's great just to have one place where we can discuss all things related to salmon fishing.

Yellow Belly, you have done a good thing starting this forum. Just look at the poll that is running about the salmon forum, the voting will give you all the answers that we need right now.

I am very pleased that there has been such a positive response, as is clearly shown by the poll. I was certainly not trying to deter anyone from joining this Forum in my original post in this thread, but rather to encourage all of us to be as active as possible in order to encourage others to join.
I also enjoy the sexy loops & fly fishing forums, but I agree that the latter involve a lot of wasted time trawling through topics of no interest to me, such as competitive fishing!

I too fish for many species but enjoy this forum as its exclusively about salmon and not just for fly fishing.
One of the other forums is driving me mad at the moment as it keeps crashing - not a problem here.
