If you buy a Shakespeare Odyssey rod don't think about buying a Magnum 200D reel to go with it. It does not fit the reel seat. Good job I tried before I bought.  |

Magnums used to come with two different feet. Do they no longer? Does neither fit?

The Odyssey has a little problem when it comes to getting reels to fit.
However the Trions and Vision Komas and GT reels all fit as do the wychwood wildruns.
Be aware that the Shakespeare Summit reels DO NOT fit.
But for 50-60 GBP they are a bit of a steal.
As to feet- when they were made in Cornwall by BFR they did make two sizes of feet. Now the distributor just tells you to contact the factory direct- in China !!!!!!!!!
