Basically there isn't one!!! Mid-way through my second season and so far i lost my monster on the fly at the tale end of last season, then got a kelt on Kercock in February, and so far this season i have not even seen a fish on the Ericht. I am off tomorrow and with the water being up a good few inches on the Ericht through Sunday, i am going to give it a full day, but just seeing a fish would be good! Its been a dire season so far.... at least by this time last year i'd seen fish and had a couple of pulls....... things can only get better, or at least they can't get any worse!! I've tied up a few nice shrimpy flies today and a couple of small tubes... so here is hoping!!! Cheers all, John.

John, enjoy your day out. I hope conditions are ideal. Keep thinking positively. Erase all negative thoughts. Keep thinking all the time how your fly is fishing and don't be put off changing things around to alter size and depth. Besides that all you have to do is "wang it out......let it come round". Simple!
Very tight lines.

well.... water was at a very nice height, almost clear and i fished from 8am until 2pm with various flies and sink tips, but not a sniff. Went to go back down at 6pm, but the river was up and muddy. Didn't see a fish the whole day, and neither did the four or so others that were out.
The whole Tay system has been naff this year!
