i think the photo above shows the "turbo disc", not coneheads.
I tied a few coneheads and give them a swim last season, look nice in the water but I mostly fished ED trebles. I think Macsalmo caught on some?
I tied a couple up on Veniard liner tube and managed to break the cones off - I'm not the best caster, but I think copper tubes are more robust!

No, but my cat loves them on a long piece of fluorocarbon (minus the hook, of course) The cat did not like the bath though...

I have bought some of the Frodin Turbo discs and you dont get a lot for your money. I am going to buy a length of brass bar and make my own (simialr ones) as I am on nights for the next 4 weeks, no point working in the best machine shop in the UK if you cant do a few foreigners. Once I have written the program and rattled a few off I will post a pic of the end result.

Maybe he was just trying to sell us his plastic tubing - who knows. Will be interested to know how they swim on brass.

Sloggi I will be turning the cone heads out of brass not the tubes, the brass cones heads will be similar to the turbo cones but not 100% identical due to different manufacturing processes and just enough differences to get around any patent.

Good idea as they are £4.50 for ten in the shop Hopefully you'll post some photos of the finished article?

So I've had a couple of casts with the new Frodin Turbos but have encountered a problem The long wing wraps round the hook. Why so, it doesn't do so woth my Collie Dogs? I wonder if the marabou clogs up with the templedog (it seems to) and forms a "lump" which droops downwards and catches the hook. Any thoughts on rectifying this would be much appreciated
