Just going off topic a little, but what "micro Tubes" do you guys use to tie on?...I am sure most of you are well aware of this, but. Crimps make a very cheap alternative,at around £1.00 for 50.They have a very highly polished finish to them so there is no need to dress the body if a silver body is required.(I have dressed the body's on mine though )They come in a variate of tests from around 20lb right up to 100lbs + so if you want a fatter little tube,no problem. I have yet to try them on the Salmon, but here are a few examples tied on the crimps which I use for the Seatrout. The tube with the treble in is a size 14# to give you a idea of the size of fly. Very easy to tie,but very effective. The ones above are purely made up of cock hackle. Hope this is of some help to some DAZ.

Daz, they look very good! might try tying some like that myself. BTW got some small trebles for tying on that I was looking for. Got small gold size 16 trebles at mchardys and some size 18 micro tube trebles at sportfish, so thanks all for the assistance! Whitetrout

Daz , What make of crimps do you use? Any I've tried before were too rough at each end and gave me nightmares about frayed leaders. Cheers. B. ps nice tyings.

ibm59. Not sure what make they are? I get them from my local tackle shop.He buys them in bulk and bags them up himself. They have a very nice finish to them which I am sure would be OK! without a liner.....I do line all my own tubes though just in case. If you are having trouble getting hold of any with a nice finish, let me know and I will send a packet or two to you. DAZ.
