Macd, Just this minute finished reading your article in this months edition. Very nice flies, I especially like your variation on the Curry's red shrimp. Great stuff, what about a step-by-step guide on a few of these flies.. Stuart

stuart only just noticed the thread, so apologies for not responding sooner. Glad you liked the flies. The Curry's and the Finn Gold and Bann Special were tied by easky. He has done a step by step on the forum. The pics in the mag dont do the flies justice, but his own pics are very good. I really like the Finn Gold. cheers R

as Ross touches on - I was less than happy with the pixs in the mag, they almost look like they went for a swim before the photos were taken I tied some Finn Golds for the fly swam and here's a pix of what they should look like

Like many of the south wests rivers the Annan is a back end river. If the weather is kind and the river has some water July, August you get some good runs of grilse. AA
