Can anyone reccomend a good salmon fly tying book, all the ones i've seen are either classic or traditional flies, i just want one that showsmodernish patterns like stoats tail, ally's ect....

This Forum is cheaper than any books ;D Just mention a fly in a thread and as if by magic someone posts a picture or ten, tying instructions, how and when to fish it, and a multitude of variations - now that's a service  Headley book is good but needs updating. For example, there's no Cascade, PBP, Coneheads, or Ness C... all fairly popular the last few years. |
