Potbelly, You are going to be very good at this flytying lark. The third fly is very well tied for a third attempt and better than some I've seen from regular tyers. I've been tying for 2½ years but never tied a salmon fly until this week. More used to tying #20 Griffiths Gnats etc but the techniques are the same. Still some way to go though, tied two Katy Ds last night and forgot the tails on both. All I need now is to learn how to fish with them.

just think like the fish you will get them ,there is nothing like your first salmon you will never forget that feeling of admiration for him when hes in the net , just stay positive my Friend and it will happen

Thats a good looking fly spayvalley am gonna tie some up 2 use on the Annan this season . Looks like a bloody good fish taker .
