They certainly look like they will tempt salar.Like the bottom left double the best.

Colours for spring - spot on. Varnish heads - Keep them a wee touch back down the shank, but looks as though you'll still get room for a turle knot. Tails - thin down a touch and you'll be on the money.
Executive Summary - No doubt about it, they'll catch, but watch the tails, a fly needs movement, and the heads - don't be afraid to stop tying short of the eye, building up the hackles and wings and creating a varnished head at the base of the eye - it makes for good presentation of the fished fly. Well done and keep it up !!

Cheers guys. Thanks for the tips altmor, i'll bear them in mind for future attempts. Hopefully i'll be able to give these guys a swim in the Ericht within the next few weeks.

Make sure you've got some bigguns for big/cold/coloured water

Nice flies look the biz. watch the heads, too squashed, give yourself more room. Dont over stuff the fly- the one on bottom right is ideal.
Also try different hairs like fox and arctic runner.
