Don't buy on line without being able to return the cape if it's not exactly what you want.Too much money to shell out on spec. Have seen some really second rate capes recently that have been classed as super grade in a well known west of Scotland fishing superstore.

I'd go to the source: www.fishermensfeathers.com/uk/Tell them what you want (size of fly you want to tie in the main) and you shouldn't be disappointed but if you discuss it in advance they should be happy to swap if it isn't what you're after. Other option is to visit their stand at a Game Fair, if they still do them. That way you can pick out one for yourself. I wouldn't recommend the superstore route. You shouldn't expect to get a good cape for less than £50. Mark

Try Hugo Ross up in Wick. Im my opinion top quality capes at reasonable prices and very quick postal service. Steve.
