Evening folks. I rediscovered the joy of fly tying today. Looked in my box and it's full of various coloured concoctions so sat down to tie up something drab. As soon as i sat down my wee nephew (only just 2!) came and sat on my knee. I thought I'd show him how to tie a fly, thinking he'd get bored after 2 minutes. Well, 5 minutes later he was still there, helping me wrap the thread, and he even chose the Jungle cock feathers. Here's what we came up with. Still can't believe how interested he was, if i get him trained well enough he can be tying all my flies by the time he's 4 ;D This is called the "jakey" now after the boy. I'd love to catch on it, what a great story for when he's older
