Its in Trout and Salmon in the 2 issues i have Nov 2006 and June 2007 and it appears to be on a number of pages including page one of both issues(on the top left hand corner) . it looks as if they use it at the end of some of their articles as a sort of puncuation .
It looks as if it is dressed as follows
Butt.... Phessant tippet Body ....flat silver tinsel Rib .....fine silver oval tinsel Hackle .....brown phesant back feather Wing ......Paired slips from Phesant primary wing
I just made a few and dont have a name for them.
Can someone name it for me ?

Hi mikeyny, Langholm Silver is it's name, it's a Seatrout fly from the Border Esk. The original dressing is.. Hook: size 8-12 Thread: Black Tail: Golden-Pheasant tippets or topping Body: Flat silver tinsel Wing: Originally curlew; use strongly barred hen pheasant or similar as a substitute Hackle: Black hen or brown partridge Mike
