Hi folks, I was given some of this material by a friend. I think that it is lovely to use. Unfortunately, he can't remember the name of it or where he got it from! It is almost like synthetic fox fur. Pictured below is the undersurface of the material. The upper surface just consists of the wisps of material that you can see poking out at the edges. Can anyone tell me what it is called and where to buy it from please? many thanks (again!) Fenton

It looks like a lureflash product called, simply, artificial hair. I think you can get it from yorkshire game angling. Ive used it myself and its lovely stuff, like fox only cheaper and tougher!

"Kraft fur" can also be had from many market stalls and the like at a fraction of the price tackle dealers sell it for ! If you want it for bonefish, don't get white but get cream. it's less startling and most fish have seen white before but are more likely to take a more natural colour.

I agree with the tip for the sourcing and the general advice, however, white is useful for Christmas Island Specials and at times, particularly in smaller sizes such as 6&8, these can suceeed when other bonefish patterns seem to struggle.

Rutland fishing moved to Oakham from Stamford. The Stamford shop has closed, but they also have a mobile shop at Eye Brook reservoir.
