Good afternoon chaps, as requested by AA, here is a pic of some of my most recent attempts at tying, the 3 on the left are samples of work in progress. I'm not really sure what any of the finished flies are called except the one on the gold hook, that's a copy of a Kinermony Killer, thanks to Jock [munrokiller] for original sample, hope I've done it justice. What do I need to do to improve my tying to the standard of flies you guys would fish with? I will post a higher resolution pic when photobucket have finished with site maintenance .

You sure the second one on the right ain't one of mine ? ;D ;D ;D It is now my friend, going in the collection for next time our paths cross. (you only need to look at the heed to see it's not quite up to your standard Mike ) Copied (ish) from one I saw in FF&FT last month. Not sure about the quality of the hook* on that one though, came in a pack from WAC, don't target any big fuish with it (just to be on the safe side) . *Hook quality can be guaranteed from now on due to my recent order from McHardy's, WAC hooks confined to bin. Although I am slightly worried about the concern shown by other members regarding the strength of Partridge salar silver hooks, I thought these hooks were supposed to be the dog's wossnames . What's going on? Cheers jkboy, I'll put you a couple aside .

There's nothing wrong with them Salmondan, I particularly like the "whispyness" of the single - looks like a teal blue and silver - but the teal substituted for brown hair ?
Keep it up, Cheers,
Altmor.

Keep it up, Cheers, Altmor. Cheers Altmor, according to the tying instructions, it should have natural templedog for the wing but I only had the underside of a white bucktail to work with so brown hair is correct. It should also be tied on a salar silver single but again, lack of materials and all that , future tyings will be as per the book. I should have added that most of the flies have not yet had the required number of coats of varnish on the heads so might look a bit more useable when this is done. Thanks for your kind comments lads, much appreciated.
