Hi,
Does anyone have any views on the above hooks please?
I gave a few flies, tied on these hooks, to a mate. He has since complained that the hooks are 'crap', bend easily and he blames them for the loss of several fish.
Any views please?
Or would anyone suggest some better models? or somewhere to get good quality trebbles in bulk (100+)?
Cheers F

Druries are the only hooks I trust. They bend before breaking, unlike partridge hooks, which are strong to the point of being brittle.
The one disdvantage with druries is that the hookpoints are too long and the barbs too large for optimum hooking, i.e. a larger force is rquired too pull the hook home. I found that the unusually small (under 2.5 pound) grilse of this season did not have enough weight behind them to give positive hook-ups. The hook wasnt being pulled past the barb. However, a firm pressure applied durig the take solved this.

I have used the ED trebles for a long time and never had any issues with them.
