Who would you rate at the top of you're list. I have to vote for the man himself- Peter Anderson. He has a superb natural talent for casting and is the most knowledgeable man i have ever met.

DB's the man for me.
Bonnie caster , top rate teacher and a bloody good sense of humour into the bargain.
He needed it last Friday am. ;D

Now 80+ he is a past world champion spey caster and remains a fine caster to this day - is still doing demos. Interesting chap with a very direct no nonsense approach.

davie bell gave me lessons,superb if i remember davie says peter andersons is a genius with rod i seen him many years ago on a few occasions doing demos the other caster that has not been mentioned in scotland is iain bennet who davie says is a very tidy caster

I have spent time with both Clive Mitchelhill and Glyn Freeman.. both excellent casters, patient and encouraging. Both are also aapgai so carry a certain credibility.

Seen David Bell take 3 complete beginners with the double hander and within 2hrs had 2 of them doing a passable Single, Double and Snake, the other I'm afraid could still be there  |
