I have just been given a Wetcell 2 line in very good condition. I believe these are no longer made and but are still highly thought of. The sticker says DT11S. Can any one tell me if this would be 10/11 or 11/12 in modern terminology. I thought I could use it on my 10/11Norway Speycaster for tubes and heavier flies to supplement my Loop Quattro (compromise between the WG and BR schools of thought!!) I have a #10 rod which I intend to use for floating line work.

Sounds as if it would suit my other rod better .Thats a 15'1Sage european #10 but I am a bit wary of using that for sunk lines and tubes despite what the advertising blurb says. Do you think my Quattro 11/12 alone would be enough for the heavy work if I leave the DT out of it. Overhead casting is not an option on the Teith and I think much of the Tweed beat also needs Speycasting

Thanks Graham I'll give it a bash and see what happens. The exploding Sage doesn't surprise me. Although they handle beautifully they give the impression of being fairly delicate creatures - should have bought a 9/10 Norway instead and saved myself £300!! Experience comes expensive in this game.
