Does anyone have any advice on SA Deepwater Express shooting heads? I'm planning to have a few trips to Rome Croy on the Tay this year (which I believe needs long overhead casting, deep wading if there's any water in the river and a good book whilst waiting in the queue). Have never used a SH before and can't find many commercailly available heads on the web (the other one I can find is over £40 and I'm reluctant to splash out that much when it might not be what I really need). Previous discussion on the site recommended a WCII head and a "heavy revy" - not sure what that is, guessing its a Masterline Revolution but think they went off the market ages ago. I'm planning to use on my Norway 15ft 10/11 (I've also got a Walker Powerlite 17 ft 6 9/11, not sure if that would be the better rod for Rome Croy)... Also, what running lines should be avoided? Hope someone with a bit of knowledge of the beat can help... Cheers, great site by the way...
