I was fishing on the Ridge Pool at the Moy in Ballina Ireland yesterday. I was using a 15 foot Loomis IMX rod with a rio windcutter 10/11/12 line. It was the second time I used the rod. It came to me second hand. I was using the intermediate compensator and slowest of the sink tips. Mid afternoon I heard a snap as I raised the line off the water followed by a further snap about 5 minutes later. I noticed that the cork handle had split vertically. On flexing the handle the cork gaps slightly but the blank seems intact. Is there any way to be sure that the blank is ok? Is it likely to be covered by the warranty?
