Finally taken the plunge and entered(the Scandinavian at least) new century.Have harped on for long enough about shooting heads and finally purchased a Guide Enter Easy Cast shooting head system comprising of a floating, intermediate and type 3 sinking heads rated 10/11 coupled with Rio shooting line got the lot for £60 considerably cheaper than the Guide compensated jobbies(well I am a tyke).Intend to fish this from my Hardy Sovereign rated 10# so I am expecting to have to add to the front end(the back of each line is ready looped) and my thoughts are either 10ft Poly-tips or the tips from a Multi-tip fly line such as Airflo, Loop or Rio.Don't expect miracles just a sound serviceable system after all I will get what I payed for and I do have the option of using it on a B+W Norway 13ft 8/9# if the Hardy doesn't work out.As ever any thoughts, words of wisdom or indeed scathing criticism would be well appreciated, yours tight to the last, Pedro.

Stop press, just had the first fit so to speak.Casting on grass prior to any surgery all of the heads cast OK,no loop to anchor properly but got about 25yd or so with a spey cast, overhead cast saw all the shooting line off the reel nice and neat.It all felt a touch light and will need something on the front ,thinking of 10ft Poly-tips but 15ft ones may be better, any body know where I can obtain the Fenwick ones?.If not then the Airflo multi-tips may be a bit more delicate than the Rio ones and possibly better suited.Dredging the depths wont be an issue for me looking for a system to fish from floating/sink-tip/intermediate/wet2 levels. One more request from those in the know,if I do use multi-tips should I stick to 10/11 rating or will I be better off dropping down to say 9/10 to keep turn over a bit neater.Started drinking Carlsberg now and been looking at a Volvo, yours Pedro.

Yet more stop press, after much flogging of water now arrived at the thoughts that the multi-tips from Rio lines are required to do the job.Used 10/11 tips but I think 9/10 tips will give better turn-over and presentation.Pedro.
