Interesting looking pattern there, what conditions and time of year does it give its best?

i would stick it on when looking for fresh fish. The irish version is quoted as a fly for springers and as easky will tell you for grilse, so i would say the same for this.
a pal reckons it would be good for sea trout
in truth when i open my fly box i mutter a bit and pick out the one that catches my eye... pure science.

yes its a great fly for grilse (tied in Irish Shrimp style), I have tied some cascade style and hope to give them an outing this summer. I have also caught sea trout on the wilky as well, I always find anything silver does the trick E
